現代日本において、結婚は簡単なことではありません。
若者の間で「お金がないから結婚できない」という声がよく聞かれますが、果たして本当なのでしょうか？
また、「結婚はコスパが悪い」という話も良く聞きますが、それも事実なのでしょうか？
今の日本の結婚事情
今の日本では、晩婚化と非婚化が進んでいます。
男性の5人に1人、女性の7人に1人が生涯未婚であるという調査結果も示されています。
2010年の生涯未婚率は男性で20.1％、女性で10.6％でしたが、2015年には男性で24.21％、女性で14.9％に上昇しています。
若者が結婚を考えない、できない大きな理由の一つが経済的な不安があることは事実でしょう。
結婚はコスパ悪いって本当？
多くの若者が結婚出来ない理由に、お金の不安は確かにあります。
仕事が安定しない、住宅ローンの負担、子供の教育費用など、結婚には多くの費用がかかります。
このため「結婚はコスパが悪い」という声もよく聞かれるようになっているのでしょう。
しかし、結婚は本当に独身と比べてコストパフォーマンスが悪いのでしょうか？
独身と家族持ちのコスパを比べてみた
独身と家族持ちを比べてみると、意外な結果が出ています。
例えば、家賃や光熱費、食費が2人で生活している場合でも、1人のときと比べて倍にはなりません。
日本の税制も家族持ちの方がおトクになっており、年収が高い場合でも税金の負担が軽くなることがあります。
以下で、独身と家族持ちのコストを比べてみましょう。
家賃の違いについて
独身と家族持ちでは家賃において大きな差があります。
独身の場合、一人分の家賃や光熱費を負担する必要があります。
ですが家族持ちの場合、複数人で住むので一人あたりの家賃が軽くなります。
例えば、一軒家の場合、賃貸料や住宅ローン、光熱費は家族で分け合えるため、家賃の負担が半分以下になることが一般的です。
税金の負担について
日本の税制は家族持ちにとって有利なポイントが多いです。
例えば、所得税や住民税において、配偶者が扶養家族として認められる場合、所得に対する控除額が大きくなります。
これにより、同じ年収でも家族持ちのほうが税金の負担が軽くなります。
また、子供がいる場合、教育費に関する特別控除などもあり、経済的な負担が軽くなります。
例えば夫婦2人で稼いでいれば、低い税率を利用できるので、基礎控除も2人分受けることができます。
ですので税制面では独身のほうが圧倒的にコスパが悪いと言えるのです。
健康保険料と年金の負担について
健康保険料や年金保険料も独身と家族持ちで変わります。
独身は自分一人分を支払いますが、家族持ちの場合、扶養家族がいればその人数分の負担で済みます。
例えば、国民年金保険料を自分で負担する場合、年間20万円弱がかかりますが、扶養されている配偶者は1円も払わずに同じ年金を受けることができます。
これにより、家族持ちのほうが将来の年金受給において有利になります。
扶養控除と収入分散について
世帯年収が高い場合でも、2人で収入を分散することにより、基礎控除を2人分受けることができます。
これによって独身と比べて税金な負担が軽くなって、経済的に有利となります。
この点においても家族持ちがコスパが良いといえるでしょう。
経済に見ると独身のほうがコスパがいいという一般的なイメージに対して、実際は家族持ちのほうが有利なポイントが多いことが明らかとなりました。
次は独身だからこその自由と出費についても見てみましょう。
独身だからこその出費がある
独身は自分の稼いだお金をどう使っても誰にも文句は言われません。
そのため、金銭感覚もゆるくなり、出費が多くなってしまうことがあります。
例えばですが
生活費を無駄遣いしてしまう
独身は自分一人のため、生活費において節約意識が低くなることがあります。
例えば、外食したりやお金がかかる趣味を持っていたり、贅沢な品物の購入などが挙げられます。
これにより、毎月の生活費が膨らみ、将来の老後資金が減ります。
貯金しない
老後のための貯金を積み立てることは大切ですが、独身が自由にお金を使いすぎると、貯金が足りなくなる恐れがあります。
老後に必要な資金を確保できないと、生活の質が低下し、不安を抱えることになります。
健康に対してそこまで意識がない
独身は、自分一人のためにそこまで健康に対して気を遣うことがないです。
健康に対して投資を怠ると、将来の医療費が増えて、老後の生活が不安定になる可能性があります。
独り身なのにコスパが悪いところに住む
独身は自分のことにお金を掛けられるので、デザイナーズマンションに住んだりタワマンなどコスパが悪い所に住むことがあります。
独身は、今の生活を楽しめる一方で、将来の老後資金の積み立てに影響を及ぼすことがあります。
老後の不安を軽くためには、バランスの良い金銭感覚を持って、計画的に貯金や投資を行うことが大切です。
独身って意外とコスパ悪いかも
結婚には経済的な不安もありますが、税金や社会保険料などを見れば、独身のほうが圧倒的にコスパが悪いことが分かりました。
逆に経済的な不安があるからこそ、結婚を選ぶことも一つの選択肢として考え方が良いとすら思ってしまいますね。
自由で気楽なライフスタイルは独身の特権でもありますが、どうやら「結婚はコスパ悪い」論は調べた結果、ただの言い訳に聞こえてしまうので言わないことをお勧めします。
結婚は決してコスパが悪いものではなく、経済的なメリットがあることも覚えておきましょう。
